About · The Teacher

Teaching Thai, and the culture around it, is the work.

With twenty years of teaching I am confident I can help you speak Thai clearly and without wasting time. Most students live or work in Phuket. They want to talk with family, friends, business partners, or the people who work with them.

Through the lessons I am glad to explain our culture and traditions, in the quiet of a small school. I like seeing foreign students relax once the sounds start to make sense.

Everyone has trouble at the beginning. Thai is hard because of the tones, and because polite phrases have a shape you cannot guess from English. After homework and regular sessions, people do well. Practice is the whole method.

Anyone who wants to learn Thai — or basic English — is welcome, adults and children. The Language Teaching Centre is a small place on purpose.

Own books, proven curriculum

Each 15-hour Thai package includes the Speak Easy course book written by Jittra. Lessons focus on everyday conversational Thai — shopping, dining, asking directions, household communication, and workplace vocabulary.
